Ok to cut to the chase, do I have to remove the head in order to withdraw camshaft. Or will the cam followers drop down? I have taken rocker shaft off and removed push rods (some bent)

Mate I have just posted a reply to your last thread, seems like my assumption that nothing had collided inside was not so.
Read my other reply, but I would still not pull the cam or remove the head until I checked what damage has been done to the drive sprocket end of the cam.
There is still a chance that the valves are ok and will still seal as when they hit the piston in these engines they hit square on and do not get bent, just the push rods, like a safety valve if you like.
You dont need to keep posting a new thread for each stage of the job, just keep replying in the same thread you originally started, others will come along with advice.
