Can any one help or advise please. My 2005 1.8 petrol Freelander with K series eng. Has been having coolant system problem & I have changed the head gasket, thermostate, Water pump & cambelt & tensioner however the retaining bolt on the automatic adjuster snapped whilst I was torquing it up.
Is there an easy way to remove the broken bolt without completely stripping it again ?

Awkward spot that. You should drill that snapped bolt and use an easy out. Or ask a mobile welder to meet you and weld a bolt onto the stump and then remove the broken bit... The latter one is probably more doable. Good luck, let us know how you get on.

I stripped the torx head of a head bolt a while back and I went with a mobile welder... Cost about £40
