Hi

From knowledge nearly all diesel engines should be changed at 60k if they do go over they still advise 60k if been towing of heavy loading.
you can reset the service light but will need the tool can get them on ebay.

**** me he's started already!

I doubt if it has a cam belt to be honest, The TD5 has a chain, so i can't see why they would go back to using belts again.

Resetting the light, i guess it would be a testbook job, but maybe there is a tool on ebay that can reset it.

Worth looking into, give LR a call, they should know about the timing belt/chain

i was told it would be easier to take the body of to change the belt, but after searching the handbooks and service book it does not mention a mileage time to change it, does it actually have a belt or is it still chain drive?? confused !

disco 3 tdv6 2.7 DOES have a cambelt and needs changing at 105,000 miles, you can all thank Cambrian landrover for this info, oh by the way watch for droaning noise which will either be diff or gearbox like mine

105k it is and it also has a fuel pump drive belt and this is the one that needs the body lift but to be fair it can be done without but it is a bit of a pig there was a write up on this in the LRO mag a month or two ago
