Hi - I'm new to this forum. I have a 1998 Disco 300tdi Automatic that needs a new cam belt. My question is; How can I 'Hold' the engine stationary while I remove the crankshaft pulley bolt?

All ideas will be welcome.

You don't need to.
Disconnect the stop solenoid, so that the engine can't start and engage N or P. Get yer breaker bar, with socket on the bolt, wedged tight under the off-side chassis rail. Turn the key to engage the starter momentarily. There'll be a big bang and the bolt will be undone.

Re-tightening it is a different matter. You could remove the starter motor and wedge something in the starter ring to stop the flywheel turning.
