Callaway Freelander a Hit at SEMA Show in Las Vegas
It is not surprising to learn that SUV's spend the majority of their lives driving on paved roads, rather than off-road. Knowing this, Land Rover commissioned Callaway Cars to produce a Freelander that would have street performance to match its off-road abilities. The resulting vehicle, named the Callaway Freelander, has a beautifully installed supercharger that boosts power output by nearly 50% and has tuned, lowered suspension and competition brakes. Deutschman Design was commissioned for the body modifications which include a front spoiler with carbon fiber brake ducts, skirt-effect side rockers and a rear diffuser strip with a billet aluminum exhaust heat shield.
Introduced on the Ford Motor stand at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, the Callaway Freelander was an instant hit which, with any luck, will soon be in the showrooms.
