Cable snapped bonnet release

Hello
My Feeelander bonnet Cable has snapped near the catch and I had no prior warning!
Does anybody know the best way to get it open? I fear I will have to take the bumper off as I cannot see any way to get to the catch without it being off.
Suggestions please.
