i am currently looking for a 3.9 or 4.2 rover engine and auto box in exchange for my 34000 mile td5 engine and manual box and possibly some one who could do the conversion for me please help:confused:

the td5 is fine nothing wrong just never gona get the power i would want out of it i have thought about selling the whole vehicle and getting an older v8 but want a newer car so the only way to go is to have the engine transplanted

you should easily get a newer v8 for the price of your td5. If you look around doozils are much preferred at the mo mainly for running costs unless you are looking at something already lpg converted.

i have thought about a chip tune but still wont get the power my only other option was a 5.9 cummins diesil but that woulb be really hard to hvae fitted

or i may swap whole vehicle for another plus cash either way as long as it has an auto box maybe a classic or disco

well its more the torque than the bhp that i need just need the grunt to move things around at the stables as i cant afford a tractor sadly :(

i had mine valued by local land rover garage at 13,750 it a 56 reg 110 double cab pick up xs that needs a few minor jobs to tidy , the 50th is very nice but need longer wheel base for safe towing plus it would be rude to ruine a special edition

ffs what the he'll are you intending on doing. It's a landy ffs.

There was a discussion on here a while ago about the concept of fitting a rolls Royce merlin in the rear of the landy if you realy want!

like i said i need alot of torque to move things around at the stables ,im not interested in stupid things just need a bigger engine its either that or buying a g wagen or unimog but thought i would stay faithful to land rover as they have never done me wrong in the last 11 years of owning them:eek:
