The heater unit on my 2.5 td leaks a bit more than leak sealer will probably cope with.
Can I remove the whole thing for the summer months and try and repair it ( can this be done easily ) or get another one from the scrappy.
Would I just have to by pass the hoses with a bit of copper tube ?
Is the unit easy to remove and if it is does anyone have any tips or advice ?
Thanks you lovely lot.

i just bypasses the heater matrix on the wifes pug 306... just join the tubes! dont think you can fix em, just buy a new one and be done with it. heater matrix looks fairly straight forward to remove. i think their riveted on though? so you may need to drill these out and rivet it back in place.

If you drill the rivets out and take the matrix out then you can fix it.

It is possible to solder/braze them if there are not to many leaks.

I would certainly be tempted to take it apart and see.
