Buying from a distance- anyone in Hull?

Hellooo,

Greetings from N. Africa! Our 2003 Freelander was destroyed in one of the embassy attacks last September. We are now moving on to Kenya, and my wife's got her eye on a replacement 2006 Freelander being sold up in Hull by a dealer - Evans Halshaw. Anyone got any experience with them? or would be willing to check it out for me? Hate to buy sight unseen and ship to Kenya, but my nearest bloke is in London and he's off traveling at the moment. If anyone is willing to check it out I'll send ya the details and offer you a free room if you every fancy to drop down to Nairobi !

I said I was going to Kenya, not Nigeria!!

Primarily I just want to make sure I'm not buying from a ****e dealer. I just want to know if anyone in the area has heard anything bad that I should take into consideration.

And if by luck, someone happens to be in the area and can do a drive by and take a peak... so much the better!

Evans Halshaw is a quite big chain of main dealers so you should be fairly safe have you considered an independent inspection

why not get the RAC or AA or some organisation to check it out for you?
it would cost a bit but could save a lot
