Of course!......I suppose 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'.

Loading stretchers in the back would make it a purple eater.

more fitting description?

So - can anybody recommend a nice paint colour for my Disco (Currently Arken
Gray) - Ideally I want something more visible than Dyno Rod Orange - the
best I can think of off the top of my head is BMC Vermilion along with
reflective strips - anybody got any other ideas?

Composed by Peter De Rose in 1934. Full title is "When the deep purple
falls". Nice tune. Nothing to do with Smoke on the Water, which is also a
nice tune, although in a somewhat diferent style...

I tend to use "'cos". When people reply "'cos what" you can then come back
with "cos lettuce".

Purple? I'm a bit hazy on that.

That describes most Landrovers I know.

Lilley Plant (I think it was) in Glasgow used to use a fluorescent green
- very conspicuous. But I do like the sound of the green/pink
combination - although it'll look too much like one of those club ties
so beloved of our politicians.

Maybe it is all still there, what we are seeing is some very cunning
camouflage :)

Eventually I shall get round to painting most of my landie a uniform shade
of limestone as was supposed to be on the log book, over all the blotches
and primer, but I shall still leave my doors in the strange shade of light
green they came in as I kind of like it that way to be different.

Yes, very popular 'air freshener' in my old flat on Utrechtsestraat as
it happens...

The RAF Mountain Rescue had a striking livery at one point, yellow
chevrons across the bonnet and roof. Not the most flourescent or
dazzling etc but catches the eye as it contrasts effectivley against
almost everything else, with possible exception of another vehicle in
same livery :)

They used yellow stripes over NATO type green, maybe a similar style
in blue/yellow or red/green, whatever colours oppose (or is it
complement) each other in the swatch samples.

How about an Escher theme, Landrovers negotiating streams that run
uphill into each other.

All the best
