Hi
can anyone recommend a good product to put the black back into dull bumpers and trim? ive bin looking but just wondered if anyone has used some

many thanks

It melts the top layer and restores it to new. Just keep the gun moving and about 2" away, you'll get the hang of it.

Have a practice on a scrap peice of plastic if you don't believe it.

No won't work on some handles as the plastic is different.

I did hear that smearing smooth peanut butter ( honestly ) on the bumper can replace the volitiles, but didn't try it.

I use a mixture of paint stripper and boiled linseed oil @ 40/60. Easily mixed and applied with a cloth

None of these back to black products and the like will bring it back as well as this or last as long. I used the Simonez stuff and it looked good for all of half an hour and started to fade as soon as it rained. Complete waste of money in my experience. With the above mixture she'll look strong for weeks at a time.

Only problem is you need to keep it off the paint.

I'd say use an airgun if you have the time and the dexterity. Give this a go if you want a product.
