Bumper Bolts

I'm fitting a winch bumper to my discovery 2 tomorrow and would like to buy the correct size bolts. I've heard that they need to have a tensile strength of 8.8 or upwards. but what width/length do they need to be? I'd like to have them ready before i take my old ones out.

Thank you for the reply, i have now fitted the winch bumper but it is not sitting level, it is angled towards the floor. Has anyone experienced this and if so how did they rectify it?

IIRC the holes in the chassis where those bolts fit are excentrical so loosen the bolts jack up the bumper to be straight then tighten the sh*t out of them

Yeah mine took some adjusting. Use 2 bottle jacks and some timber to get it sitting square

once again thanks for the replies, my main issue is the fit is such a tight fit where it bolts onto the chassis that im having to manoeuvre it with a rubber mallet. i'll give it another try tonight and see what i can come up with
