Hello all.

Just in case..... Is is it possible to start in gear a Td4 with a Knackered Battery. Will it get you home?

The old, Diesels don't need electrics don't work on this me thinks.

Help as always welcome.

So long as the battery has enough juice to power the ECU, presumably it will start - so long as its not an auto!

same as Grumpgel says if there is enough power to run the ecu it will but stop it and keep it running and then later you can put your lights on if it is night.

Got Battery from Halfords at a very good price, just need some light to fit it. Have to say, there last one has been on for seven years! Has not yet given up, But given the places I get to off road, I don't want to get stuck . So will stick it it behind the driver's seat till such time as i get some light and time to fit.
