Was driving in home last night from the inlaws approx 97 KM away, when back in the city I felt as if I drove over something and the motor felt like it was about to stall, then the engine sounded like a tank, and lost a bit of power.
Made it home as was only about 2 minutes away, left the motor idling, sounded OK nothing irregular in it.
Will take it to the garage tommorrow, but am curious as to if anyone can take a guess at what happened. I did look in the rear view mirror, and I did not leave anything on the road after the initial bump.
The only bit of work I did on it was to take the wheels off and copper grease them, I got caught once before - puncture in the countryside and had to use half a tree to lever a alloy off, with the dark drawing in...
Incidently, vehicle is a yr2000 Freelander - Diesel. Have been adding 10 litres of Sunflower Oil - with a full tank for the last 2 topups.
