Bulkheads

So...first post from a rookie newbie...
My defender TD5 110 needs a new bulkhead. I was thinking of an Ultra galvanised one (we've already got a galvanised chassis) but my local landrover mechanic is convinced that Ultra only does refurbished bulkheads. I thought they made new then galvanised. Can anyone throw any light on this? Also I can't seem to find much about Ultra the company on the Internet. Any information/advice gratefully received

Excuse my ignorance, what does ultra galvanised mean? Surely it either is or isn't?

Ultra is the name of the company , keep up kermie.

To answer the op’s question. Does it matter if it’s new or not ?? As long as it’s galv, it’s better than not galv.

It really shouldn't matter if its a refurb or not, if its galvanised (and it fits) then its good.
Their facebook page says they laser cutr and manufacture ,,, they look good too

How bad is yours? You can get repair panels for the bits that tend to go from a company called YRM Metal Solutions I've made their name a link to their website. You could get yours repaired then get it galvanised. It'll be a lot cheaper.
