Since I am awaiting delivery of my new chassis and intend to start early in the year the rebuild, I thought I would start gathering some info.
I think my bulkhead is in good condition, however this won't be known for sure till I strip it down. Was considering getting it galvanised. Anything I should look for when doing so other than obviously making sure it is sound?
Am I better looking at para springs or sticking with the standards? The vehicle will not be used off road except maybe occasionally going into a field for shooting purposes and the odd short distance towing job.
Any good places I could get things like a body tub or parts in the north of scotland, kept an eye out but all the bigger parts seem to south of the border
 
My process was new galv chassis as you are
Bulkhead sandblasted, acid dipped, then inspected and welded repaired (a few holes and weak spots)
Sent for cleaning and galvanising
Prep and paint followed by cavity waxing

it was fairly easy decision for me to repair Vs new as the bulkhead was in reasonable shape, from the feedback from the lads who are working with me on this the sand blasting process is the real test of a bulkhead's suitability for repair / galvanising
 
Mine is, as far as I can see without getting it off, in pretty solid condition. Time will tell. However it is a 6 pot bulkhead so if it isn't it will need to be repaired as I doubt I can get another:(
