Hi all. New here today.

Had a disco 2 years ago. Now want another, caravan and I wouldn’t mind joining the 4x4 response. Helping nhs out etc. My mate rides for the blood bikes so wanted to do something to help out. I’m a geek like that. Just sold my t6 vw so I’m on the lookout ;)

Hello.

Probably better to get a D3/4 as it seems most D2s are suffering terminal rot in the chassis these days.

@Highline Welcome. @gstuart is the man to tell you about the D3. Not sure there, are any dedicated selling sites for used green oval, so best to look out in the usual places : autotrader, ebay, gumtree, etc.
Curious about your thread title. Where's the buckshee?

Haha, gets people in. I didn’t want to call myself newbie as there are probably hundreds of posts with that. We call my mate buckshee as he’s been a private for 10 years in the infantry

Thanks for the heads up about @gstuart hopefully I’ll learn a thing or two

Hi and welcome to the asylum

Here’s a buyers guide I put together, hope it’s helps and of course don’t hesitate to ask any questions in the disco section

Plus the D3 forum is a great place to buy one , as u know they’ve been looked after

Er, I'm not sure how tru that is, it's full of owners posting about things going wrong with their cars.

Col

Lol, do Think it’s better because u can also look back at there posts , find normally on the forum there looked after better, likewise the same here with many members ensuring their landies are the best they can be and well maintained

Instead of taking ur chances buying from a garage etc

Welcome to the forum
