I have searched for a thread or post regarding the above but i can't find it so could someone point me in the right direction? I need to fix mine and could do with a bit of info regarding to fixing the subframe mount.:)

Cheers for the info guys. Looks like i will have to cut a hole inside under the back seats so i can weld the nut back on as the bolt is just spinning?:)

All fixed now, The nut had broken loose so a new plate and a bit of welding and all is now well. Quite a easy job to do if anybody else has the same problem? :)

I am getting a loud crack from the rear, and need to do this job, any chance of some pics of where you cut open the rear floor, PM me if you need my email addy......Mark

take off the rear wheel, you will see a stabiliser bar that goes from the hub to the cross member near to the diff mounts. remove this bar and you will see where the crossmember bolts up at the end ... check to see if this is tight .. and I mean really tight.. if not undo the bolt and poke a long pointy drill bit up and through the rubber grommet in the boot floor.. there are loads of them I cant remember which one it is.

under that grommet is the nut inside the subframe.. tack weld it back and rebuild

that should fix the problem
or look in the Q's and A's bit.

There is a row of grommets under the carpet behind the rear seat. They are all in between the spot welds for the chassis so alls you have to do is find which grommet is above the bolt you need to repair take out the grommet and with a pair of tin snips cut a x in the floor where the hole for the grommet is. Fold back the metal and weld the nut back in place (or in my case a new plate for the nut to attach to) Fold the metal back down and put a couple of tacks of weld on to hold it together then put the grommet back in. If you still need a photo pm your email and i will send you one.
