ok crank went on my freelander1 2003
Obtained another engine had it put in ,but won’t start, been told I have to change the injectors from my old engine to the new one to make it go,because the Ecu won’t recognise the injectors
Can’t I get it remapped or can I use the Ecu off the donor vehicle
Thanks frustrated

I'm assuming it's a TD4. That's the only FL1 engine that breakes cranks.

The injectors aren't coded to the EDC so should still work fine.
Check the rail sensor for corrosion. Otherwise it could have a duff O ring on the high pressure fuel pump regulator.

Been to two garages with it both telling me the injectors need coding and yes it’s td 4 engine

Also, could be one or more injectors leaking back during cranking, dropping rail pressure.

As well as reg O-ring I would suggest a leakback test.

That's a shame. There are a few parts that could have been salvaged and kept as spares. The HP pump being one such item.
