Fuel pump makes a racket squeeling like air in system.

Whenever the car dropsto idle it conks out after 10 seconds.

Down on full power, only about 100bhp

Managed to get it started after a minute of cranking, kept revs no lower than 1800 (lock up top speed).

Difficult through Saiisbury, Malmsbury, M4 roundabout and found Gloucester bypasses completely changed.

Kept getting behind slowies but didn't want to use motorway incase it stalled and did not restart, oh and I did not tell my wife I had no power a few times on the A419 after Swindon.

So fuel pump or what?

filter was chamge 15000 miles ago (I forgot to do last service).

Bleed cycling did not work.

Could be air. For a start have you tried this: put ignition into 2nd click for 40 seconds. Turn off. Turn ignition to second place again for 30 seconds. Start engine with foot fully on the accelerator. Repeat...
May help...and worth a go...

pump or injector washers

Replaced pump as HP was dead, bleed cycle ran OK, then conked with air, mad churn to start.

Took two hours to just fit pump (not including removal of old), ended up using old seal as new one would not go in.

Replaced air bleed valve, bleed cycle started instantly

Now waiting half hour to see if OK
