britpart winch wiring needed

hi all

Does any one have a wiring diagram or could tell me which wire is which for wiring in a new after market solenoid as mine has packed up on my db1200I winch

make n model might help

are you fitting an allbright solinoid?

yes fitting a allbright. Just looking on the net for the cheapest but the wiring looks different

I have not seen the britpart winches but all electric winches function in the same crude way.

There are 2 posts for in/out, 1 for power supply and 1 earth.

finding the power and earth leads/points should be straight froward, replicate the power on the albright (you should get a diagram with the solonoid when bought). leave the earth where it is and then just conect the other 2 posts. test it, if it winds in when it should be going out, reverse the leads. simples.

Im not sure what you want to do with the wonder lead, but I cut my socket off the solonoid pack and put it in the blank wing plate (solonoid under wing in engine bay), you then just crimp 3 spade connectors onto the thin wires and push them onto the solonoid. At this point I also ran 3 new wires into the cab for an "incab" switch... worth it.

images below of wiring diagrams for albrights. top one is 2 contact, bottom is 3 contact (warn etc). not sure what uses 2, maybe your britpart? only way is to have a look!

whats all the fuss with britpart mind paddoks do like to unload it off on you . i ordered a borqbeck clutch kit but got sent a britpart item its been fine up until now touch wood

Would not recommend a britpart winch to any one. Apart from the solenoid issue it filled the winch motor with water and seemed itself solid. It was only 8 months old and used 3 times. Britpart accused me of using it underwater even thought it had not. They were not interested

boycot *hitpart and buy better quality stuff. Keep your eye on ebay for a used warn/superwinch/goodwinch. Just get the main body, use youe solonoid pack and wire and sell the working *hitpart back on ebay.

been reading the landrover magazine and they have big advertisement for britpart, and they seem to have products all over the magazine and garages for that matter etc. why is this so, if they are so cr*p

If you ordered borg and beck, and got britpart why the heck did you fit it being such a big job???????

Hi Rudd, there are many member on her inculeding myself (i have delt in parts until recently) that have suffered to the quiality of britpart.
