Britpart bushes

Anyone fitted britpart bushes (Yellow things) ? I'm trying to fit some to the rear trailing arms and I just can't get them to sit flush, pressed hard in a vice they stick out a few mil each side. I'm only using them to get a Disco through an MOT and I had them kicking around, on my Disco I used Superpro and they fitted perfectly flush. I took the bushes out and pushed them together and they're a few mil bigger than the width of trailing arm so they're never going to be flush..just wondered if they'll fit in the bracket like this?

bracket can be knocked open a bit to cater or just cut a little off the bush

I was wondering if it was safe to just cut a few mil off the bush, shouldn't need to I know but looks like that is what is needed.

as long as bush sits a little proud and not short ,be as good as new
