Yep, they dun't even flinch do they.............can barely feel it! 
it so yella knows when he's finishedwhat exactly is the squelch for?
Basically when you transmit, ie. hold down your PTT button, your unit sends out a signal at the same time as you talking, only it's too low for you to hear. Any units standing by on the same frequency will pick up this sound at the same time as your voice. The squelch on your unit turns the speaker off (in laymans terms) until it picks up this squelch noise, when it then lets the transmission run through the speaker.
Well, all this good reception has proved one thing. I really don't have much to say on a CB. Once I get past the where abouts are you bit I loose interest and spend the next few minutes talking ****e and making myself sound foolish. hay hum.
