I am sure that this has been mentioned before but i can not find anything on this forum due to the search feature being altered from its original feature.
Still the breaks on my freelander constantly squeal and grind when i break, I took it into the garage to get the pads replaced as this is what i thought it was.
But the garage said that i have at least another two years worth of pads left, and that there was nothing wrong with the breaks, they said that the freelander breaks were just standard car breaks and that dirt gets into them very quickly and they need to be jet washed regularly, now i do this every week but it does not seem to cure the problem.
I have been told that you can get the grove cut a bit wider which would stop the build up of dirt.
What i want to know is that is this the best solution or has anyone got some better advice on the break pads and the grinding and squealing.
