Breaking a D2 TD5 (2000) Auto. ACE

Complete engine (10p) rebuilt about 300 miles ago with rebuilt turbo, new water pump, head and block faced flat. New gaskets & seals throughout. Starts & runs well. £1000 delivered UK.

Auto gearbox with new F clutch, includes XYZ switch, TC & flex plate £250. Sold

Transfer box, 1.211 ratio no leaks. £225 sold

Good question. I’ve been trying to sell it but no one wants to pay a reasonable price.
I think eBay makes people think they can get a good 4x4 for £1k. In reality, they get a money pit.
Trying to sell this has been hard work and it’s a shame to break, but it is what it is.
By the way, I didn’t spend thousands on it but probably more than I’ll get back.
 
If you've not taken any parts off yet, have you tried selling on one of the Facebook Land Rover/Disco 2 pages? They seem to sell for better money there than on ebay. Seems a shame to break a truck that sounds likes it's been loved and maintined to a high standard.
