Hello, recently fitted new discs and pads to my 51 plate freelander td4. However i got aproblem with the nearside wheel catching the caliper when the new pads are in place. This doesnt happen with the offside. It dont catch when old pads are in.Any ideas onyone.

yup oddball. . . . .this shuld never happen, the calipers are a fixed dimension so even if you had wrong diameter parts this shuld not happen ,double check everyfing is fitted correctly. . . . .:)

Thanks. I have double checked everything, it's all as it should be but still have the problem of the clearance.Gonna have to recheck.#
Thanks again....

Are you sure it's the Caliper fouling, or is it the back plate fouling the disc, as happened on mine, the back plates had rotted so I replaced them together with a good coat of HAMMERITE paint.

Have you got the original wheels for the car? Earlier wheels (don't have a "10" stamped on the hub) don't fit later cars - but you may not notice with worn pads.

... or is it the other way around?????

Cheers

Blippie
