It's not something stupid like a blocked bleed valve or a crushed flexible hose?
Thanks Brian, both are new from Paddocks but that does not I agree make it an absolute certainty. Going to try what James suggested and see where the last place I get fluid is. After that if that gets nowhere chose a computer or hire a trailer, trouble with France is that landy dealers are a bit thin on the ground!
 
Well another round of fruitless pedal pumping later, tried what James suggested and there is no more than a pathetic dribble of fluid anywhere including straight from the master cylinder. Therefore concluded its the master cylinder that needs replacing. Also the pedal feels very "notchy" hard to put into words but it sort of steps it way back up, dont feel this is a
 
Okay I will finish that sentence, :dont feel that its a good sign! Anyway greetings from sunny western Finnestere, if anyone has any thoughts on the masterr cylinder please share. And have a good weekend all.
