Could anyone help me,when I reverse the car judders could it be the handbrake or the rear drums sticking , is this a regular problem.

It is possible that it is the rear brake shoes. It maybe worth servicing them....clean up and check the return springs, they could be getting weak.

I have also had judders in reverse when a prop UJ is wearing.

its most likely to be the clutch springs. My mates van has the same problem. If you slip the clutch uphill you notice it in 1st too, but in reverse the springs dnt work as efficiently anyway, so the wear is most noticeable.

Does it do it if you are completely off the clutch, driving backwards?
