Coming towards a roundabout down a bridge and my brakes failed, foot the the floor.

Got it home and the front part of the reservoir is empty,i had a small leak on the front ns caliper which i was planning on doing at weekend but it was a very slow leak which is why i left it.

The front part of the res is for the secondary circuit which is the front which means i should still have rear brakes but i have none at all.

I cant have a look til tomorrow as it dark now

Even the smallest of leaks on any part of the brake circuit should mean the car doesn't get driven till it's fixed surely? Don't want to be a nob but there's no way I'd risk it.

I've had brakes fail too once. Brake line was rubbing the chassis just enough to rub through. Scary stuff.

Having two circuits dosen't mean you can knowingly drive with a brake fault. If you're losing fluid then it stays on the drive untill it's fixed.

what model disco?

if what iv found by reading google is right then front reservoir does front brakes and back does back..

no split system in the past used to do cross axle, so front drivers to rear pass and vis verso...

if its as google describes and does front circuit then you wont have hardly any brakes as the back brakes do bugger all.
