ok, car has been running fine for a while (3 weeks) so it was about time to through up another problem.

The rear offside brake has started to bind, alloy is getting hot as well as (the main problem) a anoying squeak.

The pads appear to have life left in them, any ideas how to cure this, as im not very good at this. Is it worth changing the pads or just oiling the cylinders so they retract correctly.

Any one else have had this, i know it's a very simple fault for the normal mechanic, but im a office based and don't know to to get my hands dirty.

Thanks

Looks like the pistons are sticking in the caliper. This will cause the pads to wear quickly due to them being in contact with the disc. The constant heat generated could also warp and wreck the disc. The caliper needs to be removed and the pistons cleaned and freed. DO NOT oil them as this will contaminate the pads causing uneven braking, the oil will also damage the rubber gaiters around the pistons and may even damage the piston seals if it comes into contact with them.
You may need to either replace the pistons or the caliper if the pistons are too badly corroded.
