Brakes and swivel hub leak

Early 110 V8
Taking the front calipers off, new discs and pads. When I took off the second 17mm bolt that holds on the support bracket for the flexible connection, oil is leaking heavily from the bottom of he seal on the swivel hub. Put the bolt back in and the leak stops.
Whats that all about?

The bolts that secure the top brake pipe bracket also secure the swivel top pin and preload the bearing. loosen the bolts, the top pin also loosens allowing the hub/swivel to tilt creating a gap in the seal.
