Hi,

I have an air leak between the brake master cylinder and brake servo unit, which causes loss of vacume under heavy breaking, is there ment to be a rubber seal between the two units? Has anyone else had this problem? Both the master cylinder and servo unit are a year or two old and are britpart. Had no problems so far.

Thanks, Rich.

There is a seal but thats to stop water ingress, it would work fine without it.

There is no air between the servo and the master, the vac pump is connected via a hose to the servo, the vacuum stays in the servo, it doesn't in anyway go to the master, only an assisted actuator rod comes from the servo and pushes the master in.

If there is an air leak letting air into the servo system then check the hose, the connections, and the servo.
