I had a grinding noise coming from brakes. Fronts were fine.rears were fine but drivers side rear outer pad had fell thru caliper and was rubbing hub hence the grind.

I took pads out and pressed brake to push piston out cleaned and pressed back in did this 3 times.and re fitted with new pads and fitting kit

Pads were tight fit and really struggled to turn hub by hand.wheel back on and could turn it. So 4t id need bed in a bit now 4 days on and the drivers side is getting hot and feels like holding back. Any ideas what i should check 1st as caliper seems ok

Pads were changed both side but only drivers side seems be a problem

If the pad had fallen through sounds like the caliper has corroded to excess, pad could of moved nd jammed causing the problem, had a similar prob with mine so fitted new calipers and all was good.

some of the pads are a bit off on the fitment. i usually file them down a bit so they can slide nicely.

maybe one has wedged and is stuck?

or when you cleaned the pistons, were they rusty? you might have caused one to seize.

new ones sort it though :)
