Evening all,
I've got a little issue with the brakes on my Tdi project.. They lacked power.. which I've tracked to completly shot disks and pads. But they also have an issue with the pedal travel:
The pedal pumps up fine when the engines not running, but once you fire the engine up the pedal drops slowly by a good few inches, the more you push the more the pedal drops! It doesn't quite go to the floor but it's definatly not right!
I'm not sure exactly where to start but I'm guessing it's something to do with the vacume assist? But what parts can I check and how?

I'd bleed it first of all

Hi,Elefantman.
as said above, bleed system first, then check the system over. Make sure there are no leaks around the system ie calipers etc.It could well be the vacume assit but worth a look about .See manual or check out the other sites on here you may well find infoe to help .;)
