Does anybody know where I can get the rubber that the switch presses against that I think attaché's to the brake pedal arm. Have been having issues getting car out of park and think I have sussed it. See below..

Just need the rubber on the end I think as when I remove the switch I can get the car out of park.

switch is only £11.00 on ebay and the likes, as I have had to buy one recently - easier than trying to fix the one you have.

No problems with your explanation "but think I didnt explain properly"

It's not a LR replacement part I'm afraid, just like a similar rubber shroud for the bonnet alarm switch.

They are available from the electronic components supply firms RS, Farnell etc in various sizes but by the box full.
It's not that important item unless u expect to encounter a lot of dust as that is all it is a dust shield.

Aaaa ok was worried if it was there so that the switch would work. As I am sure if I remove it when the pedal comes back there would be no contact point for it.. at a guess.

Just had another look in daylight this time and the issue is because without the rubber the switch does not touch the the arm of the pedal. Any ideas as to why?
