Could somebody help, I have changed axles on my lightweight to range Rover classic axles with 4 pot calipers on the front. I noe have a problem with my braking as I have to pump the brake pedal two times everytime I nede to stop. Which master cylinder can I use to deliver enough fluid without having to rebuild the servo? Answers are needed pretty quickly as I am going to Island in September.

Have you adjusted the rear drums?

If you have too much free play on the cylinders you will need to push more fluid through to compensate.

It might be as simple as that! ;)

I have discs alround and 4 pots running on a series cylinder
with no probs

It may be something else amiss
have you air traped in half the caliper?
is your rod adjust to the max with slight free play?

Flexis are fine. I have bled the system and used a liter of brake fluid to clear all the air out. Have tried to use an early 110 master cylinder, (but that is defect) so have ordered a new one today.

All fixed now, the problem was with the calipers, I have 3 friends Who are mechanics and they had not spotted that I had mounted them the wrong way round :)jaw::jaw:)
