Brake light witch.

Good evening guys.

Where is the brake light switch on a 1998 defender?

Its dark out side now and im just wanting to know if its in the engine bay or not and is it easy to change?

I think they are all in the same place, aren’t they? If so, it’s at the rear of the master cylinder. Bonnet right up, or off, for decent access.

Yep.

side lights work but no brake lights. fuse is ok so i will do some investigating later after work. bulbs and bridge the switch.

I have had my landy off the road for over a year and now it is on the road im starting to find all the little problems witch do not bother me as they all seem to be a 5 min fix

The brake light switch has packed up. took the wires off and made a bridge wire to test and the work fine.

Switch is on order.
