Hi all,

Wonder if anyone can help please?

My right brake light blew earlier today and now when I switch my sidelights or headlights on the brake lights (including the middle light) come on and stay on. I've changed the bulb and I can get all the brake lights working but I still have the same problem when I switch on the headlights. The brake lights work fine when the headlights are off. Could the fuse have blown and if so am I able to change the fuse myself?

On a connected note, the radio hasn't worked for months and the light for the clock doesn't usually come on. Again, is this some kind of fuse problem?

Would really appreciate all suggestions. Hoping it is something I can fix myself as a novice.

Finally, if they could be fuse issues, where can I get some tweezers to pull the fuses out? The car didn't come with any.

Thank you

sounds like you have a earthing problem usually it is the head lights trying to find earth through other bulbs check the earth on the head lights first they are on the side wings of the engine bay.

Do you have water in the rear NS light, reverse light also I had this and had to dry it out with hair drier on slow then used switch cleaner.

I agree with Teddy - to me sounds like an earthing problem. Perhaps some corrosion or shorting in that brake light unit? That's where I'd be starting, with my multimeter at the ready! :)
