Brake fluid leak

Morning all
I have a range rover 2003 td6, on driving it yesterday I came to traffic lights stopped kept my foot on the brkr and the pedal seemed to start moving down releasing the pressure,thought a bit weird no warnings on dash so carried on home once on drive I noticed fluid leaking from middle of left hand side chassis which I discovered was brake fluid anyone know what/where these brake pipes are or what it could be cant see the pipes? cheers

Not easy to replace, cost a friend €1800 to have them replaced after one burst on the MOT test.

If you are going to DIY Cupro Nickel pipe and fiddle it into place yourself. Pipe, bender and joints if needed about £50 in total, but not an easy job. Just done it on a P38 where the pipes are fitted before the body is mated to the chassis.

Is the Nickle pipe a certain size are the pipes the ones that go through the box section chassis?

I don't know for sure the brake pipe size on the L322, it might have gone metric, the link below shows what I used, it's 3/16".

Hi, I've just bought a 2004 TD6 with this exact same problem. For me, it was the front pipe from the abs module running down to the front brake. The brake fluid was running down the two rear brake pipes and dripping on the ground about three feet away from the actual split. In my case, the pipes were hidden behind the wheel well cover. Once I took that off, the two other pipes running to the back of the car weren't great either. Mud and general debris had collected in there causing the corrosion. The pipes cost about £10 each from Land Rover, and took around 30min to replace all three. They come pre-bent and with the correct unions fitted. Admittedly I didn't have the front strut on, so that made it much easier!! I'd check the fronts first as if it is the rear pipes then that looks a much bigger job.
