help! just fitted new rear brake shoes on my 1986 110
The drum was a tight fit. assumed it was because the shoes were not aligned so tapped it on anyway. tried the brakes and have played with the adjusters but the drum is solid! no rotation on the hub at all!
what have I done wrong?
I've tried adjusting the snail cams and they seem to make no difference!

Perhaps new shoes pushing the brake pistons in and pressurising the brakefluid, perhaps undo a bleed nipple to take some pressure off, beating around the outside of the drum with a rubber mallet sometimes helps,
Atb and good luck

The shoes are handed. It's been too long to remember the details when I cocked it up but my brakes wouldn't adjust either until I got it right.
I fitted a disc braked Salisbury since then. The shoes look obviously correct but they weren't until I swopped them around.
Not much help I know but if you were not aware, as I wasn't, about the handing then that's a strong possibility for your issue.

As a 110 my shoes are symmetrical. Should have stc2797 fitted however they’re different to those already fitted. Same size but more shoe material than the existing which is causing the problem
