i Have a defender td5 and the left front inner pad is more worn than the others, when i brake the car pulls too the right.
I Assumed that i needed to change the pads, so on starting this job i cannot lever the pistons on the affected area even after bleeding all the brake fluid out.
Could it be that I have a seized brake calliper ????

you dont need to bleed fluid out ,caliper has siezed pistons ,either fit new calipers ((both sides )or new pistons and seals ,also worth discarding mudshields to while your there

what do you mean by discarding mud shields, could it be that mud has caused this problem???????
Why should I discard mud shields????

:doh: The close proximity of the mud shields to the brake calipers means that mud, road salt etc. is left there to happily eat away at the metal!!! Unless you physically clean the channel out every few weeks you will get faster corrosion.

Im based in Mallorca, Spain,
And normally parts are expensive but so is shipping them from UK

Jammy:p, exactly where I want to emigrate to! Have a look at the more popular LR websites for price's on shipping etc. most will happily help out.

can I replace only one calliper or is it better/advised to change both????

Personally I would replace both. But you could only replace the dodgy caliper, in that instance make sure you replace the brake pads for BOTH calipers.
