i've fitted new tyres to my defender all the same size and the pressure is fine but you can be driving along and it starts to bounce over the road a little. A also re-tightened the bolts. Any suggestions guys.

how's yer dampers / shock absorbers?
jump up and down on each corner - the vehicle should stop bouncing within 1 or 2 oscillations afer you stop.

Got a feeling the good book says 28 front 38 rear fully laden.

do check your shockers though, the rear shockers on mine were replaced recently and the ride difference is unbelievable. Makes you wonder how I managed with 2 knackered shockers, cornering was ****e it wallowed round corners and chucked everybody about in the back.

Well why does it say 60 psi on the side wall. 7.50/16" michelins
that's the maximum that the tyre can take, not the recommended pressure.
correct pressure depends on loading / speed etc.
30 all round works well for me - nice even wear, good ride quality (well, as good as you can get in a deepender).

I will let them down and see how i go. in the event of it being the shockers what should i expect to pay for new ones fitted.
