aye, but 38 is too much fer normal running. I use 30 all round unless I'm towing, then I put an extra 5 psi in the back.

True all down to personal preference I suppose. I think these are probably guideline figures moreover, don't run less than or more than type of thing. i normally run mine at about 30 all round, unless i'm sticking the whole family in plus one or two more.

i met a bloke once that blew his tyres up till the road nosie stopped. then he wint orf road and had zero grip, slide down a slope and got wedged inbetween two trees. dint half fook up the day for the rest of us while we tried to get him out. the NFC

I will let them down and see how i go. in the event of it being the shockers what should i expect to pay for new ones fitted.

That's a good link that griff posted, i paid about 8 quid each for the 2 rear shockers, fitting is a piece of ****, took about 30 mins. remember to soak well with wd40 or other on top and bottom bolts either side the night before you replace them just to ease the removal. a good socket set and breaker bar can also come in handy.

Reet just copied the tyre pressure guide out of me Land Rover 90 & 110 Handbook Covering Model Years 1983 to 1990 inc.

ffs! that's waaayyy too high.
I run mine at 30, which seems just right.

FIFTY psi!
Treworgy is tight!

Have a close look at the small print on the tyre walls.
See if you can find a little section called
US and CANADA Codes Only.
Most tyres have this, and it gives valuable information about two things, (1) the maximum LOAD per tyre, and (2) pressure recommendations, as worked out by the tyre makers.

Go by those figures; never exceed the maximum pressure, and especially NEVER drive the car if the tyres are over maximum recommended pressures, as the first and every bump or pothole may well cause internal cords to fail.
