Bought one!

Hi all,

Thanks for all the help, pleased to say we bought a FL1 for my partner on Saturday.

I will post some pics when it has had a proper polish, but it is a Black 2006 HSE 3Dr with 86k miles.

I drove it back from Sheffield (cloverleaf cars) and I actually really like it, infact more than the Renaultsport Megane it is replacing!

It has a couple of issues that I will have to sort:
- The back window either does open or closed, but nothing in the middle (have found a calibration thread so will try that)
- Neither of the wing mirrors fold in, and both seem to be broken (suggestions on where to get new ones please)
- The gear knob is just plain horrible, the leather has come unstitched (again suggestions on where to get a replacement please)

I did find the gear changes to be a bit of an art, you can't rush it and have to be precise. Is this the same with all FL1s?

My partner has said she is going to join LZ now, so I guess you will be seeing her around here at some point!

Do you live in that area? I know it well I'm from up the road and I used to work with the guy from clover leafs dad when I was an apprentice in the stealworks..

Nah, I am from near Derby.

There weren't any FLs near me though, so we went on an adventure.

Haven't sold the previous car yet, but she really liked this one.

If the mirrors are power fold ones it will be the switch that's goosed not the mirrors themselves

if it turns out to be the mirror switch wire them to the key fob then no need for switch also lot better when park in car parks and over night if on a street
