Bottle Jack seals

There's supposed to be a bag in the rear doot pocket containing the wrench to take the wheelnuts off, a little pouch containing the locking wheel nut socket (and the stupid, tool that is supposed to take its cover off) two wedges that spin out in ever such a dinky fashion and the jack lever in two pieces.

Maybe it's in the manual?
Nowt in my rear door pocket but a spare rear number plate, and some sweet wrappers....... I have got the tool for removing the locking caps though...

Now you are assuming that a 20 year old car still has a manual in the glove box.....

Yerp, of the three Disco's I bought two had the full kit and the manual, one even had the spare key.
But one had nuffin except the jack. But at least the roof bars were left on the roof.
One was 7 years old, bought from a garage quite expensive, next was 14 years old had about 5 very careful owners, last one was bought exceedingly cheap never even checked how many owners, and was about 20 yrs old.
Gues which one didn't have the kit?!;)

Any more updates?
Yes
I have the jack rebuilt and holding oil. Tried on a Defender and lifted it. I went to a seal manufacturer in Dublin called Abbey seals they were very helpful didn’t even charge me must of been below minimum charge. Only problem was I didn’t get a invoice or part numbers. They just measured up the old ones and gave me replacements

could you not ask them for the Part No and tell them its to post on this forum, for more sales
I think they measured them then just wrote now the size and grabbed from stock. I’m away now for a week I have to upload a guide on how to strip the jack down il see if I can get more info on the seals I used. Do you have a seal retailer close to you

Even if they just tell you the sizes that would be a big help!

I have it all stripped down just need the repair kit. It was working fine only problem was when stroking it under the bonnet it would leak oil out
Amended seal size: Thanks for posting this image. Just got mine in bits. Like you, after 20 years occasional use, mine is leaking. Suspect the piston-to-cover seal at the top, it's lost its shape. Have ordered 35mm ID x 2.5mm cross section O Ring from Seals R Us on eBay. Did you find a kit or did you buy the parts and if so, what size O rings did you purchase?

Quite like this jack as it does the job and I've not found anything to fit in its intended storage location. At 200mm tall, it's short enough to fit underneath our caravan too.

I took my seals down to a local seal replacement/manufacturer they measured them and gave me replacements but were unable to give me part numbers. I’m to do a video on how to strip it down but been so busy

They are the preferred jack on the Eriba caravan forum, but most have to carry them separately.
Mine sits under the bonnet on the D1

Any update on the video mate?
Hi Guys sorry for the long wait but finally got around to the video. It’s more of a walk through instead of a strip down but it’s such a simple job I didn’t want to take mine back apart. Here’s the link any questions please let me

I guess I know that. And I have axle stands to throw at dogs including some really high ones. but there is a tiny corner of my being that likes to keep the equipment the vehicle came with working as standard. I have three of them as I have 2 D1s and a D2. The D1 ones travel in their place vertically and of course the D2 one is stored on its side. The D1 ones are fine.
I have no idea if being stored on their sideis an issue.
But I do like them as they are compact and have exactly the right head on them for the job.
TBH I use the trolley jack for other stuff too. ;)
I thought the D1 bottle jacks stored upright in the engine bay
