Boot will lock then reopen immediately.

Hi,

Sorry to put up a thread about this old chessnut. I`ve searched and searched and cant find a solution to the fault. I have a 1994 Discovery 1 (3 door)

The boot lock will immediately re-open when all the other doors have locked.

Ive tried advice from older threads to establish likely causes like broken lock pins etc. Nothing works.

The boot door will secure if I lock it manually with the key in the lock, and it will reopen again from the drivers door, yet it wont lock from the drivers door again. It still re-opens when all other doors have locked.

Please help.

I know it dont help but I have same on n/s/f door, bent button across a bit this improved it but not 100%,must have another play with it soon

Bounce back it happens, 1. an iffy lock spring, does the door pin drop back down slightly after unlocking with the key? or 2. a slight adjustment on the actuator fixing plate is required.

Top advice and now the fault is fixed.

I adjusted the actuator so now all my doors lock, every time.
