Going to replace it anyway it's done then, but I must admit I was not looking forward to what was under that carpet

remember u can rebuild cut grind weld swear tears and blood all worth it in end

i found if u have a plasma cutter its so much quicker :)

if you were up this way i would cut everything out for u

finaly got my ass in gear and started the floor, can someone please tell me whats the purpose of the strap between the spring hangers its the only strap/brace that was f**ked its only a flimsy thing

I assume just strengthening, but, as you say, its nothing really.

I think (cant really remember) that i ordered one too few, so left one out. Ive carried up to the legal limit of weight in mine a few times, and there's never been any bother.

As far as rust jobs on the disco go, i found the boot floor the easiest, but it seems like people sweat about it some. A new floor from paddocks etc. and a spot weld cutter from screwfix.. then a tin or two of underseal when its done. Much easier than body mounts and stuff like that.

yeah im just patching with a new main floor,i must admit i was thinking of leaving the strap over the spring hanger out its so flimsy i cant see it really doing a lot
