Bonnet catch?

Hi all

Ok my problem is the bonnet. When driving the car, everysooften the bonnet spring thing pings and the bonnet lifts up. Luckily the disco has the other catch to stop it fully opening.

What is causing this. I have looked at the spring mechanism and nothing seems to be wrong, nor the cable pull. On the main body of the car, there are the holes and a plate ontop with a hole in it. Should there be any rubber damper in it?

Sounds like the peg that comes down from the bonnet needs adjusting. Just turn it anti-clockwise a couple of turns with a screwdriver, grease the entire assembly and see if it works!
