So recently my bonnet has decided to pop up whilst driving, you can close it and it feels secure but once you set off, pop and up it comes.

Iv adjusted the whole mechanism before when I had this issue but last night when I decided to try and readjust it again I noticed that the little screw clamping the bonnet release cable has sheared off. Iv searched most known websites for this little screw with no avail.

Does anyone know what this little screw is called and it’s part number?

The slam plate assembly looks quite worn and the safety catch has been pummelled flat with the constant bouncing of the bonnet. Is it worth replacing the whole slam plate assembly, safely catch and the cable in one go?

Great stuff, that will do nicely. Don’t suppose you have any links for the correct parts? Or catalogue part numbers?

Go along to your local bike shop and ask them for an inner brake cable clamp screw.
Might set you back around 50p, but what DFNL ;);)
