body panels

Good evening all,

I am new to land rovers have just brought a 1986 90 it has some issues but as my son says it's only a few nuts and bolts.

I have to repair the foot well no problems so far HOWEVER there is evidence that there has been tape or filler of some sort has been placed between sone of the panels. Now as I put it together again where do I get this filler or tape......should it even be there or or is it to stop water ingress and help is welcome

Non setting mastic works well.

Oh, and yes, its to stop water and noise from the mechanical bits getting in the cab.
